Post #4( The Mother by Anne Panning on P302)

The writer talked about her complete mismatched life since her son was born, till she came back from her friend’s wedding in California.
After her son was born, she wants to get a clear look of her son, so she tried to reach foe her glasses. She was wearing nothing but a blue and white hospital gown. After she lost her baby weight, she felt so relaxed that she wants to eat some potato chips and watch TV. She went to one of her friends wedding when her son was one year old. She felt so tired so that she fell a sleep on the plane. When she woke up, mountains and soft sunlight fill into the window. She got into a taxi to a hotel after she got off the plane. She sat at the back of the taxi and imagined she will stay here forever without her son, that will make she fell that she can live comfortable everyday. The reason why she likes to live in New York is because she likes the places that have been missing simple sunshine. She took a walk near the mall that is near her hotel the day before her friend’s wedding. She saw a pair of sunglass that was latest style from Italy for only 25 dollars. She was struggled of buying the sunglass or not, because she wanted to save more money. But the frames of the sunglass were so stylish and it was so colorful. That would make her not look like a “mom” anymore. And finally she bought it. When she was on the plane back home, she started missing her child. After she went back home, she took her son to the community toddler gym. Before they went in, they needed to pose for photo ID cards. When she looked at her photo on that card, she suddenly felt that that was a stranger; the photo didn’t look like her at all. She got her “pump” coat on, a black Persian lamb’s wool with shiny button. Her bungs were cut very short and the eyeglass she bought in California looked almost bright orange.
She completely mismatched her life; she didn’t look like a mom. Instead, she looked like a woman she barely recognizes. She made herself totally a different person but she didn’t even realize it.
I think the writer felt that she was not fashion enough before her son was born, so she started to dressed up and made herself beautiful. But she just put everything on herself and made her self mismatched, and didn't look like a mother. Also i think the writer  wants to show that her life is also mixed up.Because fashion suppose to be the life when she didn't have the kid, and the usual clothing would be the clothes that she should wear after she born her kid.

blog post #3

Nowadays, many Chinese families send their children to study in America, because they think the education in China is very strict. Like me, I was educated in China for many years; teachers always want you to be better and better to get high grade. Thus you have to study harder and harder. We don't even have time to rest during the weekends. My mother always want me to do well in every of my tests (but she won’t forced me to do it), so that I could go to a good high school. She would also tell me to be a good student at school everyday before I went to school.

Not like a traditional Chinese family, my family not only cares about my grades, they also took me to some beautiful places in China so that I can know more about my country. But after we came back, they always said:" don't drop your grade!" So I had to work hard after I came back because I needed to catch up with the other students.

I am the first person to come to America in my family. Before I came, my parents told me to just try my best to study there, and don't feel regret after you grow up, and that's enough.

The Playground

I had lots of friends when I was young, and I didn’t know how valuable friends were, so I always made fun of my friends when I was young (like spill water on them or say something funny about them), and the playground teaches me how valuable friends are.

I think that was about nine years ago and I was six years old that time. That was a weekend that time, and I asked some of my friends to play with me on the playground. We brought our toys and some cartoon books, we shared our toys and the cartoon books with each other, we were really happy and we laughed. While we were laughing, one of my friend said that we can play “hide and seek” together, and everybody agreed it. So we provided the area, the rule (the hikers had 40 seconds to hide and the seekers will started finding the hikers), and who were the hikers and the seekers, then we started. 1,2,3,4… the seekers started to count to 40, and the hikers found a secret place to hide, and every-body were so excited…39,40, the seekers started finding us. After a while, some of the hiders had been found (not including me) and the seekers were still finding others. Bumb, bumb… the seeker was coming closer and closer to me, and my heart was beating faster and faster. The seeker suddenly heard some sound from the back of a bush, so he started walking towards me, I was so scared so I grabbed some wet soil from the ground and throw it at the seeker. The seeker looked at his shirt and started crying. I had no idea what I was doing so I walked over to him and said sorry. One of my friends told me that yesterday was his sixth birthday and he got this shirt from his mother as a birthday gift, and he loved it a lot. Maybe its because I was really “rude” to him that time, but we didn’t see each other anymore.

The world is just that small. Three years ago, I went into a middle school, and I met a guy who looked so similar to a person who was “angry” at me nine years ago, so I plucked up my courage and asked him if he was that person or not, and he sad yes. Of cause we become friend with each other because we all think we were all immature and we were not mellow that time. So this is what the playground teaches me, we need to treasure our friends like our brothers and sisters.

english blog post 1

While all people are having lunch with their family and talking about the happy things happened this morning, the ground suddenly shook in SiChuan at 14:28:04 on May 12 2008, all the people put down their dishes afraid, they stood up and running like blind, they don't know what to do. Some old people walking down quicklyto the ground and some people hurriedly packing their valuable things and rush downstairs quickly. All the people were so panic and some of them were crying.Children were having lunch at school, their parents were knees on the ground and hoping somebody can save their kids.
In one school, teachers were rushing between students and make sure they were not hurt. The building started drooping dust, then bricks, it becomes bigger and bigger. There were still some students in side, but through the windows, i saw a teacher hide his students under a big podium and use his body to "close" the opening. When firemen moved the bid bricks from his body and found him, he was still benting his waist, using his hand to crutch the podium. But suddenly, he felled down, all the students under the podium were save, when the firemen trying to take them out under the podium, they all climbed to their teacher and cried.
